Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) is a government program that offers Small and Medium Businesses (SMEs) $15,000 in grants to develop and implement their digital transformation strategy.

The Boost Your Business Technology Grant can be used to increase productivity, consolidate back office software, improve cybersecurity tools and more.

Eligible businesses must work with a Certified Digital Advisor to make a digital adoption plan which would be submitted to the CDAP program for approval. Once the plan is approved, businesses can take advantage of a loan from BDC bank of up to $100,000 at 0% interest for 6 years.

the Canada Digital Adoption Program

Doing business in the digital age just became a lot more affordable and accessible. The Government of Canada is investing a total of $4 billion in the digital transformation of businesses like yours. Through the Canada Digital Adoption Program (Boost Your Business Technology grant), you can get $15,000 in funding.

We help Canada’s SMEs accelerate their digital transformation to fuel economic recovery. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that qualify will be able to consult our experts with their digital transformation journeys through CDAP.

The grant covers up to 90% of the eligible cost of retaining the services of a digital advisor, up to a maximum grant value of $15,000 per SME, to develop a digital adoption plan.

Businesses who complete a CDAP plan also have the opportunity to secure a zero% interest loan, up to $100,000, from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to facilitate the acquisition of new technology.

Looking to build a website, establish social media presence, run an ad campaign ? Need to serve existing customers more effectively and attract new customers? With a micro-grant of up to $2,400, we can help with the costs related to adopting digital technologies.

Is your business Eligible?

Business Eligibility

- Is a for-profit business (including for-profit social enterprises and co-operatives)
- Is a registered or incorporated business
- Is a consumer-facing business. Can be accessed by consumers or provides in-person services to consumers
- Has at least one employee (full time or part time, but for at least three months prior to application) that isn’t the owner, OR had at least $30,000 in annual revenue in the most recent tax year (2021)
- Must commit to maintaining digital adoption strategy for six months after participation in the program
- Must consent to participating in follow-up surveys, sharing information with the Government of Canada (ISED and Statistics Canada), and having the name of the business published as a recipient of funding

What is included in a CDAP plan?

At a minimum, your plan will include a review of your businesses current state, digital adoption analysis and recommendation, implementation roadmap, employee technology comfort levels, cost-benefit analysis, and any other custom characteristics of your business.

Who benefits from the program?

Canadian business. It allows your business to recover 90% of the cost for an approved digital advisor prepared adoption plan (up to $15,000) through a GRANT. Additionally, businesses with a digital adoption plan are qualified for a $100,000 INTEREST-FREE loan payable over six years to help with the execution of the project.

What types of projects qualify?

Any business process that technology can help optimize qualifies. Examples include: CRM, ERP, accounting, operations, digital media, data, spreadsheets, forms, workflows, approvals, supply chain & logistics, manufacturing, and much more!

Why do I need to select an approved digital advisor to create the plan?

Only approved digital advisors from the CDAP marketplace [← this where you will find us] are eligible to complete digital adoption plans for companies seeking a grant under the program.

When should I apply?

The program is first-come, first-serve, so our advice is that the sooner, the better. Approved applications have nine months to claim their grant.
